A New Store at BanditoBooks.com

hi folks,

i'm pounding this one out at a road stop (via an email to my bandito associate and friend john, plus our banditrix, denise). cold as hell here, wherever i am. headed south is all i know.

for a while now we've been putting together a store, and so when i canceled the dumb ass idea of a twice-a-week dsp for bucks, somebody said, 'okay, so open the store instead, idiot.'

so we did. it's live now, and the price is the same as in my dumb ass newsletter offer: 12 bucks ($11.95!) for cygawa: a full-blown hardcover at paperback price. plus if you order before christmas you get a zen and zero dvd.

holy shit.

you've read it/seen it? what, you don't have a friend or loved one (or a sociopath) in your life who'd squeal in delight at getting this stuff for christmas? i'm so sorry!

we're going to be selling other stuff in the store, some of which maybe will surprise you. (trust me on that.) for now, just the one book (plus free dvd).

i'll be back in touch as soon as honey and i make it to the beach.

Allan

oh, right. here's the new store.

hey, it really IS cold here.

A Note From John the Webmaster: I've decided to hijack Allan's DSP while he's on the road and can't do anything about it, and the first installment in my hijacking is this: The store also has something else for sale, something that has been a long time coming: The audiobook for In Search of Captain Zero. Talk about a great Christmas present. Now, having worked with Allan for what now seems like a near eternity, I've read Zero a few times (to say the least). Even so, the audiobook listening experience was... outstanding. I got so much more out of the book having this guy read it to me (what does that say about my reading skills?) than any of the other times I'd "read" it. The reader, Joe Barrett, did one hell of job with this thing. It really is a great way to re-experience the Zero story. Great for road trips, long flights, winter nights by the fire, whatever.

The audiobook's available as a 9-CD set ($80) or as a single MP3 CD ($29.95). It's unabridged and runs around 11 hours.

Stay tuned in the coming weeks for a few surfy surprises I've been working on for you guys... Can you say "Towing in at huge Puerto"?
